We checked out Grass Valley culture this evening. We took a stroll down Main Street where vendors, performers and other merchants lined up to sell you an experience of Grass Valley's heritage of a Cornish Christmas. The Cornish people once settled in this area and has since left it's mark on history. Since 1967, the town of Grass Valley has hosted A Cornish Christmas so that some of it's historical heritage may be preserved. Merchants, musicians, carolers and the like are dressed in historical attire as they serve their tasty pasties and sell local hand made crafts.
It was a fun event that gave us a glimpse into the holiday spirit of the community as well as their heart for history.
