A Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley-- A Cultural Experience

We checked out Grass Valley culture this evening. We took a stroll down Main Street where vendors, performers and other merchants lined up to sell you an experience of Grass Valley's heritage of a Cornish Christmas. The Cornish people once settled in this area and has since left it's mark on history. Since 1967, the town of Grass Valley has hosted A Cornish Christmas so that some of it's historical heritage may be preserved. Merchants, musicians, carolers and the like are dressed in historical attire as they serve their tasty pasties and sell local hand made crafts.

It was a fun event that gave us a glimpse into the holiday spirit of the community as well as their heart for history.

Database Building (aka our mailing list)

We are in the process of building our mailing database, specifically targeted towards churches in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington.... even Arizona and Idaho. Basically, the western states. We are still in the process of working on the website and application process. Please let us know if you're interested in putting your church on our database mailing list. We're focusing on getting the word out there what West Coast Missions is all about, what we're all about and where we can start planning and scheduling places to go for recruiting.

So, please email Jewel @ aiming4christ@yahoo.com or send Jewel a facebook email.

Our Mission and Vision Statements are works in progress. There are so many good ones to choose from! Hopefully, those will be up on the website soon as well!

Please keep us, our potential students, teachers and other staff in your prayers! We have faith that God is doing great and amazing things behind the scenes to prepare young hearts and minds to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus. Please also be praying for our support and for potential supporters for our students. We know that many have been struggling financially these last couple of years. So, we ask for prayers that God opens the hearts and minds of others to have faith in supporting a WCM student so as to help better prepare and train them to help grow God's kingdom.
